Cross-Regional Information System (CRIS) on the Reintegration of Migrants in their Countries of Origin The Cross-Regional Information System on the Reintegration of Migrants in their Countries of Origin is led by the European University Institute, under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Pierre Cassarino. AST is a fully-fledged partner of this project aimed at addressing the social, economic, legal and institutional factors shaping returnees’ patterns of reintegration in their countries of origin.
Armenia: Migration and Development Effective governance of labour migration entails making migration work better for development, enhancing possible benefits such as financial flows, technology transfer and entrepreneurship, and mitigating negative consequences such as loss of skilled human resources. While there have been studies concerning Armenia on labour migration and remittances, this was the first study in the framework of migration and development.
Return Migration to Armenia in 2002-2008 Funded by the OSCE Yerevan Office, this study was another output of our joint efforts to enhance migration statistics and inform policy decisions in the area of migration. The study examines migration processes in general, but focuses specifically on return and reintegration.
Labour Migration from Armenia in 2005-2007 The research aimed at assisting the Government of Armenia in obtaining reliable data on the dynamics of the labour migration from Armenia in order to facilitate the development of a national concept and policy on migration.
Labour Migration from Armenia in 2002-2005 This first comprehensive research on labour migration from Armenia was initiated by the OSCE Yerevan Office and aimed at providing the state and non-state stakeholders with up-to-date reliable quantitative data on labour migration flows to facilitate evidence-based policy discussions on the topic.
